Abstract PURPOSE: To secure a reading in the range of the magnified reflected signal with no direct reception of the effect of the reflected light, by performing a scanning through deflection of the light sent from the light source via a polyhedral rotary mirror and having different angles which are formed with the face containing the scanning line and the scanned face.
