Preparation of organosilicon polymer

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To prepare an organosilicon polymer which gives a large amount of high- boiling component by heat decomposition, by reacting a halogen-containing organosilicon compound in the presence of specific finely dispersed metal. CONSTITUTION: An organosilicon polymer having Si-Si bond in the main chain, is prepared by reacting (A) a halogen-containing organosilicon compound such as dimethyl-dichlorosilane, diphenyldichlorosilane, triphenylmonochlorosilane, etc., in the presnece of (B) a finely dispersed metal or alloy selected from the Ia and IIa groups of the periodic table, pref.
