Thermal fixing device for copying machine
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To make it possible to maintain the constant surface temperature of a roller by providing the lining of wicks within a closed vessel, and providing a heater on the outer circumference of part of a heating roller constructed as comprising a working fluid filled between the vessel wall and the wicks. CONSTITUTION: Copy paper 11 is fixed while it is passing between heating roller 3 and pressing roller 15. Wicks 9 of capillary constitution are lined on the inside of the roller 3, and the easily evaporative woking fluid 10 is filled between wicks 9 and roller wall. Hence when it is heated from the outside by radiating cup having electric heating wire 14 disposed at one end of the roller 3, the evpaporation and condensation of the working fluid are simultaneously and continuously done between evaporating unit A and condensing unit B. In the constant state, the temperature gradient becomes so small over the whole length of the roller 3 that the surface temperature of the roller 3 can be kept constant COPYRIGHT: (C)1979,JPO&Japio
