Flexible disc driving apparatus

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To prevent damage on a flexible disc by providing a member to position the flexible disc, a member to hold the moving position of a moving member, and a coupling member to cooperate with a door. CONSTITUTION: A flexible disc 8 inserted into an opening 2 is quided by guides 21, 22 and groove 23, and rests in a driving apparatus 1. In this state, when an upper door 71 is lowered, a frame 3 rotates about a shaft 32, and this rotation is transmitted to a lower door 72 through a linkage or the like. Nearly in the center of the stroke of the two doors, a pawl 75 is engaged with a fitting part 79, and the doors keep the engaged state, resisting the force of a coil spring 33. At this time, since a shaft 42 supported by a clamp 4 moves in the direction towards the spindle 5, the clamp 4 secures the disc 8 while positioning the center of spingle 5 and central hole in the disc 8 in coincidence.
