Production of instrument panel

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: A preformed plastic film is set in mold, a frame having adherability is placed thereon and a urethane foam is poured into the cavity and foamed, thereby forming instrument panels of good quality in simple precesses. CONSTITUTION: Surface material 1 preformed through vacuum forming is set in bottom mold 2 and frame 3 made of A B S resin and treated with a releasing agent is placed thereon and fixed with upper mold 4. Urethane foam is poured into the cavity between surface material 1 and frame 3 and foamed. At this time frame 3 of A B S resin with adherability contacts through a releasing agent with surface material 1 at the surface 7 of unnecessary part 6. Then frame 3 on which partially pads are formed is taken out of the mold and the unnecessary parts 6 is cut off with cutter 8 and released off from frame 3 COPYRIGHT: (C)1979,JPO&Japio
