Magnetic signal detector

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To eliminate the erroneous operations such as noise reversal due to temporary service stop or noises by arranging magnetic signal units alternately at the both sides along their moving direction and positioning the two magnetic resistive elements of the signal units vertically of the moving direction. CONSTITUTION: Magnetic signal units 7 are constructed of two overlapped mangetic gears 8 and 9. The teeth of the gears 8 and 9 are arranged alternately, as shown at 10 and 11, and the magnetic detecting units 2, which are arranged in the vicinity of the teeth 10 and 11, are connected in series with two magnetic resistive elements M 1 and M 2 which are arranged at a right angle with respect to the rotating direction of the gears 8 and 9 so that they may be supplied with a DC voltage E. An output terminal 3 is connected from an intermediate connection with a comparator circuit 5. When the gears 8 and 9 are turned, signals of square waves are generated at the terminal 3 and are fed to the comparator circuit 5 so that the output signals of square waves, which exceed the threshold value of the hysterisis of the circuit 5 are generated at a terminal 6, thus being free from any erroneous operation COPYRIGHT: (C)1979,JPO&Japio
