Resin sealing-type thyristor
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To avoid a short-circuit at a temperature rise time across the cathode and the gate by interposing silicone gum-system pressure relaxing materials between a cathode electrode, which is provided on a thyristor pellet and has a solder layer in the upper part, and a gate electrode which has a lead in the upper part similarly. CONSTITUTION: Ring cathode electrode face 11 where solder layer 2 adheres to the upper part is caused to adhere onto thyristor pellet 1 and gate electrode face 10 where internal lead 4 is soldered is caused to adhere onto pellet 1 between them. Next, pressure relaxing materials 12 consisting of silicone gum-system materials is caused to adhere to the part extending from the exposed surface of pellet 1 between electrode faces 10 and 11 to solder layer 2 and lead 4. After that, all the surface is covered with resin sealing part 9 and is protected. Thus, even if the temperature of pellet 1 rises due to overcurrent to melt solder layer 2, layer 2 is prevented from invading between electrode faces 10 and 11. As a result, no short-circuit is generated, and the over-current capability is increased COPYRIGHT: (C)1979,JPO&Japio
