Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To obtain an excellent and flawless picture regardless of some defect by providing the control means to switch the switching circuit toward the second solid state pickup element when the output corresponding to the defective part from at least the first solid state pickup element. CONSTITUTION: In order to obtain an excellent and flawless picture regardless of some defect, the following component elements are provided: at least first and second solid state pickup element 14 and 17 to enable the simultaneous picking-up of the same subject; switching circuit 19 which switches selectively these pickup element output and then draws them out; and the control means, i.e., flaw detector circuit 24 which switches circuit 29 toward second solid state pickup element 17 when the output corresponding to the defective part of element 14 is obtained from at least element 14 COPYRIGHT: (C)1979,JPO&Japio
