Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To display tape running time highly accurately with a simple constitution by counting the number of revolutions of reels from the state when the tape has been rewound to the beginning end and processing the same. CONSTITUTION: The tape is fully rewound to a reel 4 by the feed reel 4 and take-up reel 1 which are automatically started and stopped according to the command signals of a control circuit part 20. When the tape is taken up on the reel 1 from this state, the revolutions of the reel 1 are detected with a revolution detector 7, and the revolution detection pulses are applied to a microprocessor 13. Then, the processor which is changed over by select switches 14, 15 according to the thicknesses of the tape calculates the number of revolutions of the reel 1 by performing frequency division, etc. and performs operations by the specified formula, thereby determining the tape running time from the number of revolutions and digitally displaying the running time in a display part 19. Hence, the running time corresponding to the tape positions is highly accurately displayed irrespective of the running speed of the tape with the simple constitution of detecting the revolutions of one reel alone COPYRIGHT: (C)1979,JPO&Japio
