Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To provide a throttle closer, which closes throttle closing electromagnetic valves by detecting full-closing of the throttle valve by means of sensor, whereby gear shifting can be effected independently of depression of the accelerator pedal and without causing idling and delay in operation of actuator. CONSTITUTION: When shifting change-speed gears, electromagnetic valve 26 closes open air introducing pipe 26b in response to change-speed signal of control circuit 8, whereas vacuum introducing pipe 27b is opened by electromagnetic valve 27 and vacuum in vacuum tank 9 is introduced into actuator operating chamber 5d. Resultantly, premary arm 3 is turned and primary valve 1 is fully closed by actuator 5 independently of depression of the accelerator pedal, whereupon "fully-closed" signal is given. This signal is supplied to control circuit 8 and current supply to the electromagnetic valve 27 is stopped, whereby vacuum introducing pipe 27b is closed so that supply of vacuum to the chamber 5d is stopped. In the above arrangement, throttle opening and closing electromagnetic valves 26' and 27' are disposed in parallel to select suitable speed for opening and closing valve 1, whereby idling or engine brake can be prevented COPYRIGHT: (C)1979,JPO&Japio
