Nonmagnetic conductive metal separator
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To reduce the size of induction coil to decrease power loss of this separator by detecting nonmagnetic conductive metal piece by a metal detector to flow pulse current through the coil only when the piece reaches the position opoosite to the coil group. CONSTITUTION: Solid waste 3 separated from iron pieces or the like as mangnetic metal is fed from a hopper 2 through a conveyor 1 onto nonmetal slide plate 4. A metal detector 5 is provided at the upper portion of the plate 4 on the back 4b with induction coil group 6 disposed opposite to the lower end of the plate 4. If nonmagnetic conductive metal piece 3b is contained in the solid waste 3, the detector 5 detects it to feed a signal to a timer circuit 8. After the piece 3b slides to the position opposite to the coil group 6 and pulse voltages are fed from high frequency generator 7 to the coil group 6 in the frequency to be restricted by a counter 9, the pulse voltage are fed from high frequency generator 7 to the coil group 6 in the frequency to be restricted by a counter 9. the pulse voltage is stopped supplying COPYRIGHT: (C)1979,JPO&Japio
