Positive-characteristic thermister heater
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To augment the quantity of radiation, keep almost uniform temperature on both the upstream air side and the downstream air side of positive-characteristic thermister and prevent the concentration of heating on the downstream air side, by placing radiator fins near the downstream terminal of the thermister and directly exposing the fins to air flow. CONSTITUTION: Electric power is applied across the terminals 2b, 7 to heat the positive-characteristic thermister 1 fixed by fitting screws between the terminals. Forced ventilation is performed through a perforated hole of the thermister 1 by a fan 5 to produce hot air. Effective radiation of heat is performed from the downstream terminal 7 by the radiator fins located around it so that the temperature of the terminal 7 is kept from becoming high COPYRIGHT: (C)1979,JPO&Japio
