Abstract PURPOSE: To improve the liquid crystal display system of guest-host type, in which the drive of a liquid crystal is carried out by a comb-tooth shaped transparent electrode formed on a single substrate, so as to effect the color display by specifying the direction of the longitudinal axis of liguid crystal molecules.
