Variable pressure operating type boiler water supply pump

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To eliminate limit by rotary body's hazardous speed or hazard of occurrence of errosion on an adjustment valve by lowering water supplying pressure by releasing water appropriately from an intermediate pressure stage of a water supply pump. CONSTITUTION: Inside of a casing of a water supply pump 20 is provided with a rotor 22 equipped with a plural stages pressurizing vane 21. Water-releasing gates 25aW25c are appropriately provided on an intermediate pressure stage, and respective adjustment valves 27aW27c are also provided on the middle of water-releasing pipes 26aW26c connected to respective water-releasing gates. By receiving a water- demanding signal, all the adjustment valves 27aW27c are opened in order from low pressure stage side. When a required pressure of water supply to the boiler goes down, water supply pressure is adjusted by opening control of the adjustment valves 27aW27c while a turbine's r.p.m. is maintained at a value above a given constant value higher than a hazardous speed region.
