Limited stroke rolling kinematic pair

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To prevent the reduction of effective stroke length being accompanied by the slide of the balls of a limited stroke rolling kinematic pair, by integrally forming a spring and a cage, and by making the free length smaller than length between stoppers. CONSTITUTION: An outside portion material 2 and an inside portion material 1 can relatively be moved by holding a cage 3 for keeping rolling bodies 4 between the outside portion material 2 and the inside portion material 1. Since the cage 3 and a spring 5 are integrally shaped and the free length is made smaller than length between stoppers 6, the reaction force of the spring does not act on balls until the spring 5 contacts with the stoppers 6, and the slide of the balls does not increase. When the spring 5 contacts with the stoppers 6 and the cage 3 is brought to a non- load condition, the reaction force of the spring 5 pushes back the cage 3, and the deviation of the cage 3 due to slide, which has been accumulated, is recovered.
