Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To prevent the generation of a hopping phenomenon by allowing the pressure of a pressure wave generated at the main steam piping closing time operating during a boiling water type reactor is in operation to be reduced, by means of inserting a contraction of are which damps the pressure wave between a main steam valve and an escape safety valve.
