Abstract PURPOSE: To provide a filter press, in which a filter residue depositted on a filter cloth is separated by reciprocally moving rubbing means so that a middle portion of the coth is bent and folded at large angles, while the cloth is stretched over an open frame with application of a tension to the cloth.
