Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To reduce the time for initiating catalytic reaction at the cold starting of an internal combustion engine and to decrease the amount of release of CO or HC by setting another catalystic reactor having catalyst metal which is carried by silica cloth on the surface in the upper reach of a catalytic reactor instaled in the exhaust pipe of the engine.
