Abstract PURPOSE: The gas permeability of the upper layers at the time of lighting-up or after lighting-up is improved and the gas permeability of the wet zone produced below the sintering reaction zone is also improved, whereby savings of blending materials and improvement in productivity are achieved and the heat impact at the time of lighting-up is released.
