Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: 6-(2-Amino-1-hydroxyalkyl)-3, 4-dihydrocarbostyryl derivatives of formula I, in an example, 6-(2-benzylamino-1-hydroxypropyl)-3, 4-dihydrocarbostyryl hydrochloride are new: [Where R 1 is lower alkyl; R 2 and R 3 are H, alkyl, cycloalkyl, aralkyl, aryloxyalkyl, R 2 and R 3 are so linked together with both via N atom to which they are linked and via another N atom or without via another N atom as to form a heterocyclic ring].
