Simultaneous extrusion laminate containing propylene graft copolymer layer
Abstract
Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide required rigidity, scratch-resistance, surface wear-resistance, and glossiness after a thermoforming. SOLUTION: A simultaneous extrusion polyolefin laminate having a rigid high modulus upper layer contains at least one layer of a graft copolymer made of a propylene polymer material for which an acrylic monomer and/or a styrene monomer are graft-polymerized, and at least one separate layer made of a propylene homopolymer, a radom propylene copolymer, a random propylene terpolymer, an olefin polymer composition, a thermoplastic olefin, a different phase olefin composition, or a polymer of these, or two kinds or more combinations of the polymer compositions (when necessary, it may be blended with a high melting strength propylene polymer material). A composite material containing at least one layer of the simultaneous extrusion laminate, and, e.g. a low density polyolefin foam layer, can be used to manufacture a large structural part by a normal means such as thermoforming.
