Abstract

(57) Abstract: OBJECTIVE the NO X absorbent to remove NO X in diesel engine exhaust, the exhaust gas purification efficiency by the low-temperature poisoning is caused by the SOF and the reducing agent in the exhaust to prevent a reduction . [Structure] An oxygen concentration sensor 10 for detecting the oxygen concentration of exhaust gas is provided in the exhaust passage 3 on the downstream side of the NO X absorbent 15, and the oxygen concentration at a predetermined time after the start of the regeneration operation is detected. When the oxygen concentration is higher than a predetermined value, the ECU 20 determines that the low temperature poisoning of the NO x absorbent has occurred, and the electric heater 16 heats the NO x absorbent 15 to change the NO x absorbent to the NO x absorbent. A poisoning recovery process of burning the adhered SOF and the like is performed.
