Thermoplastic resin composition

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To provide a resin composition excellent in softness and impact resilience and suitable for a golf ball material. CONSTITUTION:This is a thermoplastic resin composition characteristically composed of (A) 20 to 90 pts.wt. thermoplastic elastomer selected from a thermoplastic polyester elastomer and a thermoplastic polyamide elastomer, (B) 10 to 80 pts.wt. ethylene copolymer ionomer and (C) 1 to 20 pts.wt. [based on 100 pts.wt. total weight of (A) + (B)] epoxy group-containing compound. At least 10wt.% of the above-mentioned ethylene copolymer ionomer (B) is a saponified ethylene-(meth)acrylic acid ester copolymer. It also features a golf ball composed of the above-mentioned composition.
