Toner replenishing device

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To reduce sliding load between the projection of a main body on replenishing part and the seal of a cartridge by providing a rotating member the head of the projection for opening the main body replenishing part in a 2nd area. CONSTITUTION:The openings 7, 11 of the cartridge 1 are inserted into the inlet 20 of the toner replenishing part 2. When the projection 21 is abutted upon the seal 8 covering the opening 11 in the 2nd area 10 and pressed into the opening 11 through the rotating member 22, the part 14 of the seal 8 is taken off from the opening 7 and toner 6 is supplied to the developing device side replenishing part 2 through the openings 7, 23. When the cartridge 1 is lifted up after supplying the whole quantity of toner, the cartridge 1 is taken out in the state that the seal 8 is fixed on the cartridge 1 on both end sides and stored in the area 10. Since the seal 8 is folded through the member 22, frictional force due to sliding is not almost generated and the sliding load between the projection 21 of the body supplying part and the seal 8 of the cartridge 1 can be reduced.
