Bar code reader and image sensor used therefor

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To read plural rows of bar codes at once so as to cope with an increase in information quantity by providing plural line sensors. CONSTITUTION:An image sensor 12 provided with plural parallel line sensors 16-18 constituted by linearly arranging photosensors is provided in addition to a box body 6, bar code reading section 7, condenser lens 8, LED 9, mirror 10, lens 11, and electric circuit 13. Therefore, plural pieces of information can be read at once and an increase in information quantity can be coped with, because bar codes 2 can be read at once even when the bar codes 2 are arranged in plural lines.
