Magnetic recording/reproducing device

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To execute dubbing at speed higher than double speed, and in addition, to execute usual recording/reproducing as well by providing a specified recording means and a specified reproducing means to operate independently and synchronously. CONSTITUTION:Heads A1, B1 and the heads A2, B2 constitute respectively a pair of the heads, and a first and a second rotary cylinders fitted with n-sets of reproducing head pairs or recording head pairs to be moved in a direction perpendicular to the circumference of the cylinder by the impression of voltage are provided. Then, while a magnetic tape is made to travel at n-fold speed, the first rotary cylinder is rotated at prescribed speed, and the moving timing and the movement of the head are controlled so that each head traces one recording track respectively, and on the other hand, while the magnetic tape is made to travel at n-fold speed, the second rotary cylinder is rotated at the prescribed speed, and a reproduced signal is supplied to each recording head, and is recorded successively. Thus, the dubbing at n-fold speed can be executed, and in addition, the usual recording/reproducing can be executed.
