Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To communicate information between each terminal equipment of a LAN (local area network.) and the communication destination of a public telephone line by paperless facsimile communication by providing a coupling part which transmits information from the network to the communication destination or a picture output part and transmits information from the communication destination or a picture input part to the network. CONSTITUTION:A network coupling part 11 is provided which is connected to a LAN of an office or the like independent of a public telephone line 1 and transmits information from the LAN 12 to the communication destination or the picture output part through a data processing part 9 and transmits information from the communication destination or the picture input part to the LAN 12 based on mode setting. Consequently, not only information or the communication destination is transmitted to the LAN 12 but also information of the LAN 12 from each terminal equipment is transmitted to the communication destination through a data processing part 9 by the change of the information transmission destination of the network coupling part 11 based on setting of the operation mode. Thus, paperless facsimile communication is performed between each terminal equipment of the LAN and the communication destination.
