Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent wear of a guide plate and the occurrence of a multiple feed and to feed sheets at a stable separation period by a method wherein a line for interconnecting the ridge lines of heat parts located on both sides of the sheet feed belt of a guide plate with a distance therebetween is caused to enter the belt side by a specified distance from the under surface of the belt. CONSTITUTION:A guide plate 31 is formed of a metallic plate or rigid rubber, and the central part of the upper edge of the guide plate is notched in width wider than the width of a sheet feed belt 21 to form tops 31a and 31b on both sides. The top parts 31a and 31b are positioned on both sides in the direction of width of the under surface of the belt 21, and fixed in a position where a line for interconnecting the ridge lines of the top parts 31a and 31b is positioned flush with the under surface of the belt 21 or is caused to enter the belt side by a microsize delta. The guide surface, containing the top parts 31a and 31b, of the plate 31 is inclined in the feed direction of the belt 21 based on the under surface of the belt 21, and this constitution facilitates the smooth passage of sheets 12.
