Ic card
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To completely prevent personal data relating to a card user from being read out by temporarily storing a personal identification (ID) code inherent in the card itself in an EEPROM, initializing the EEPROM and then executing a test program. CONSTITUTION:When a reset signal is inputted from a terminal P3, a CPU 1 reads out an execution start address previously stored in a system ROM 3 and starts the execution of a branch routine 32. When an execution command for the test program 31 is inputted from a terminal P5, the CPU 1 executes a set checking routine 34. Whether inherent ID code 51 has been already written in the EEPROM 5 or not is judged from a set check code 52 stored in the EEPROM 5, when the code 51 has been written, the CPU 1 executes an ID code checking routine 35. When the code 51 has not been written yet, the test program 31 is directly executed without collating the ID code 51. The inherent ID code 51 is collated with the ID code inputted from the terminal P5, and at the time of match, a memory initializing routine 36 for the EEPROM 5 is executed. Thus, the contents of personal data relating to the card user and stored in the EEPROM 5 can be prevented from being read out.
