Piezoelectric transformer dc/dc converter
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To obtain a piezoelectric transformer DC/DC converter having excellent output stability by providing a frequency conversion feedback circuit for comparing a voltage converted from a mechanical vibration with a reference voltage, converting their difference voltage to a frequency signal, and supplying it to a driving circuit. CONSTITUTION:When a power is supplied from an input power source 1 to a driving circuit 2, the circuit 2 drives a piezoelectric transformer 3, which outputs a voltage to a rectifying and smoothing circuit 4, and the circuit 4 supplies its output to a load 5. A comparator 7 compares the output voltage from the circuit 4 with a reference voltage 6, and outputs their differential voltage to a V/F converter 8. The differential voltage from the comparator 7 is converted to a frequency by a V/F converter 8, and supplied to the circuit 2. The circuit 2 controls the driving frequency of the transformer 3 based on the frequency signal from the converter 8 to regulate the output voltage of the circuit 4. Thus, an output stability is improved.
