Liquid temperature detector
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To detect liquid temperature while sealing performance is increased without radial expansion by employing a coaxial wire wherein a plus-side and a minus-side electric conductor are arranged coaxially. CONSTITUTION:A thermistor 2 is put in a cylindrical metal case 3 as the outer package of the detector 1 and connected to a control circuit through the coaxial wire wherein the minus-side electric conductor 4b is arranged coaxially at the outer peripheral part of the plus-side electric conductor 4a. A grommet 12 for holding the inside of the metal case 3, wherein the thermistor 2 is stored, in a liquid-tight state by closing the annular gap formed between the outer periphery of the coaxial wire 4 and the cylinder part 6a of an inner case 6 in the liquid-tight state is fitted onto the outer periphery of the coaxial wire 4, and fixed by the caulking of a terminal 9. The grommet 12 is formed of fluororubber and seals the coaxial wire 4 at the three axial places. Therefore, the detection of liquid temperature with improved sealing performance becomes possible by using the grommet 12 without radial expansion.
