Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To provide an intercooler excellent in its durability and reliability without generating any large deformation and contraction, etc., by air heat. CONSTITUTION:First and second radiation fins 4, 5 are serially arranged against air-flow inside the air feed tank 3 of an intercooler 1 connected between an engine E and a turbocharger T, and cooling water of the engine E whose temperature is 90 deg.C is circulated through the first radiation fins 4, and sea water whose temperature is 20 deg.C is circulated through the second radiation fins 5. When compressed air whose temperature is 180 deg.C and supercharged by the compressor T2 of the turbocharger T is passed through both radiation fins 4, 5 its temperature is gradually decreased and finally, it becomes 40 deg.C so as to be fed in the engine E.
