Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To enable an optional area on an image memory to be outputted by a method wherein an input controller which perform control for expanding a data in the optional area on the image memory, and an output controller which performs control for outputting the data in the optional area on the image memory, are established. CONSTITUTION:When an input controller 7 receives a command from a CPU 6, it sends out various signals to a data memory 10 or the like,and controls input to an image memory 5. An output controller 8 controls the image memory 5. When a video data is outputted from the image memory 5 to a laser printer or the like, the output controller 8 follows addresses of an output original point and an output final point which are indicated from the CPU 6, and outputs a data in an area to be determined thereby. A multiplexer 9 receives inputs from the input controller 7 and the output controller 8, and selects either one to be outputted. Those inputs are a signal which determines which area of the image memory 5 the data is to be inputted into or which area the data is to be outputted from.
