Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To diagnose abnormalities with high accuracy in a fuel supply system by averaging factors of learning correction in every running region having nearly equal basic fuel supply and comparing the averaged values in the running regions having different basic fuel supplies to judge the abnormalities in the fuel supply system. CONSTITUTION:A learning correction amount set newly from a feedback correction amount and learning correction amount set to make desired air fuel ratio of actual air fuel ratio is stored in a memory means B in every running region. There are provided a learning correction amount averaging means K for averaging the learning correction amount in the memory means B in every running region having nearly equal basic supply, a comparing means L for comparing the averaged learning correction amounts in the running region having different basic supplies and an abnormality judging means M for judging the presence of abnormalities in a fuel supply system I on the basis of the comparation result. That is, the averaged values of the learning correction amounts are compared in the running regions having different basic supplies to judge the abnormalities in the fuel supply system I. Thus, abnormalities in a fuel injection valve can be diagnosed with high accuracy.
