Waterproof connector
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To eliminate an entangled part of wire or the like without exposing a protrusion in an outer circumferential surface before and after connection of waterproof connectors by connecting both connectors by inserting a protruding part in an inner wall of a hood into a spiral groove. CONSTITUTION:The forward end of a male connector part 12 is applied to a disc-like seal 30 disposed in a bottom part of a hood 44 of a female connector part 14, and a forward end part of the female connector part 14 is applied to a ring-like seal 28 disposed close to an installation part of the connector part 12 and a locking hood 16. By rotating the hood 16, in addition, both connectors 12, 134 get close to each other against resiliency of the seals 28, 30 and a protruding part 34 reaches a final end part 38 of the spiral groove 32. The final end part 38 has a recessed part 38a which is recessed toward the front, so the protruding part 34 gets engaged in the recessed part 38a, and a tight connection of the connectors 12, 13 with each other as sillustrated in a cross sectional view can be maintained.
