Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of static electricity in screen printing without the necessity for using an antistatic brush by incorporating a specified amount of an antistatic agent into an ink for screen printing. CONSTITUTION:This ink for screen printing contains 0.1-5.0wt.% antistatic agent. Alternatively an ink for screen printing which does not contain an antistatic agent may be used to print, for example, a certain number of sheets, and the screen may then be washed with an ink cleaning agent containing 0.1-5.0wt.% antistatic agent. Example of the antistatic agent include an alkyl phosphate anionic surface active agent; an anionic surface active agent comprising, e.g. a sulfonate; an ethylene oxide nonionic surface agent; a betaine ampholytic surface active agent; and a cationic surface active agent comprising a quaternary ammonium salt.
