Tool management system for machine tool and tool presetter used for system thereof

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To improve a work efficiency by linking a tool management computor and tool presetter by on line, and enabling the renewal of a memory and data writing just as a tool is inserted to the spindle of the presetter. CONSTITUTION:A read and write head 30 performing the writing and reading of an information to a tool ID element fitted to a tool is arranged at the spindle 20 inside of a tool fitting part consisting of a tool presetter. An ID controller 80 is provided inside a base 2, connected to the read and write head 30 via a cable and also connected to a tool management computor via a communication cable 82. The computor is also connected to a display device via an another communication cable 84. The reading, measuring and writing can be done in the state of a tool being inserted into the spindle 20 of the tool presetter and the working efficiency is improved.
