Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To improve anti-rim striking ability and lighten a bead core by winding an element wire in plural layers in a endless state and in such a way that the number of the rows of the most outer layer becomes less than that of the rows of the most inner layer, that is, so as to form a bead core whose cross section is a trapezoid. CONSTITUTION:A bead core 3 is formed into a trapezoid in the cross section. That is, the bead core 3 is formed in such a manner that an element wire 2 coated with non-vulcanized rubber 7 is wound so as to form a ring-like shape in the peripheral direction of a tire in plural rows and in endless state forming plural layers in order. At this time, to begin with, the most inner layer on a bead base side is formed, and then, the same layers are formed on the most inner layer with the number of rows keeping the same number or reduced by proper numbers in order. In addition, the completed bead core 3 is deformed in such a way that the cross section of the core becomes trapezoid. This not only improves the anti-rim striking ability and lighten the bead core 3, but also save the length of the element wire without deteriorating the strength of the bead core.
