Fitting portion structure for automobile window glass

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To make a temporary fitting and an adhesion fixation sure and also, prevent a molding bending deformation, by engaging to a molding corner portion a protector which consists of a protector main body that is made of a hard material and is temporarily fitted to a car body by means of a temporary adhesion member, and a seal lip that is for the prevention of a sealant invasion to the temporary adhesion portion of the main body. CONSTITUTION:A protector 4 consisting of a protector main body 8 made of hard resin and a hard resin seal lip 9 provided integrally on the inside of the protector mainbody 8, is fitted at the corner portion of a molding 2 by means of the engagement of the groove 5 of the molding 2 and the claw portion 10 of the protector main body 8. This protector main body 8 is fitted temporarily to a car body 6 by means of a temporarily adhesion member 11. And, a sealant 12 is filled between a window glass sheet 1 at the inner part of the molding 2 and the car body 6. This sealant 12 is stoppingly blocked by means of the seal lip 9. As a result, a temporary fitting and fixation can be done surely, and also, the bending deformation of the molding can be prevented.
