Image form for aircraft and use thereof

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To improve reliability by calculating a deference between a signal of a set representing parameters of elements of a present scene and a given signal and correcting an image, in an image system for providing a bird's eye view of a scene derived from stored geographical data and real time positioning data. CONSTITUTION: An ACGI(Airborne Computer Graphical Image) method has a local database 1 including land geographical data on characteristics such as rivers, mountains, roads, coastlines, transmits local data extracted from the local database 1 under control of a local database manager 3 to an earth database 2, and controls a display 10 by the output. In this case, a video comparing circuit 11 which receives an ACGI image and compares it with an image created by one or more aircraft sensors 12-23 is provided, and based on the output an ACGI library 25 refers to a table related to a new object and generates a video overlay signal to control an overlay processor 26.
