Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To decrease the number of parts by assembling the stator of a direct drive wheel on the outer periphery of a sleeve having completely larger inside diameter than the outer shape of a spindle shaft and concentrically fitting the spindle shaft to this sleeve and connecting them by means of bolt or the like. CONSTITUTION:A wheel 8 comprises a rim 11 to which a tire 10 is attached and a wheel disk 12. At the inside of the wheel disk 12, a rotor bracket 9 which is a part of a rotary side of a direct drive motor 1 is fixed by using several bolts 13 and cap nuts 14. A stator 2 which is a part of a fixing side of this motor 1 is fitted on the outer periphery of a spindle shaft 3 through a sleeve 4 and a rotor 15 composed of a permanent magnet is disposed on the outer periphery of this stator 2. The rotor 15 has one side fixed to the rotor bracket 9 and an opposite side protected by a cover bracket 16. The stator 2 and the spindle shaft 3 are fixed and fastened by an abutting plate 18, a positioning disk 17 and several through bolts 19.
