Manufacture of cylinder body

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To eliminate casting stress and to hold the circularity by uniformly applying deforming load along circular direction on inner circumferential face of a liner under high temp. condition during cooling or by reheating cylinder body, plastic-deforming the body around the liner and cooling. CONSTITUTION:At the time of shifting a piston 15 stepwise according to supplying quantity of working oil, component force for shifting a tapered block 22 to outside in radius direction is generated on surface of an engaging groove 21 with tapered cones 19, 19. The tapered block 22 is shifted stepwise with this component force to the outside in the radius direction. In this result, curving face 23 of the tapered block 22 stepwise and impactly pushes inner circumferential face 5 in the cylinder liner 2 to plastic-deform the cylinder body around the cylinder liner 2 to the circular direction step by step.
