Color printing method using ink-jet recording system
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To solvent the problem of incompatibility of a high definition with a penetrability in a penetrable recording medium such as plain paper by printing the penetrable recording medium first with a colored water-base ink having a specified surface tension and then with another colored water-base ink having a specified surface tension higher than that of the former water-base ink. CONSTITUTION:A penetrable recording medium is printed first with a colored water-base ink having a surface tension of 30-40dyne, and then with a colored water-base ink having a surface tension of 45-73dyne. As the former ink, one contg. water, a water-sol. dye, an anti-drying agent, and a penetrant is pref.; the pref. penetrant contains at least one compd. selected from the group consisting of a compd. of formula I (wherein R<1> is H, methyl, etc.; and (n) is 1-5), a compd. of formula II (wherein R<2> is R<1>, and (m) is (n)), and an adduct of 1-5mol of ethylene or propylene oxide to 1mol of butyl alcohol. As the latter ink, one contg. water, a water-sol. dye, and an anti-drying agent is pref.
