Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To obviate the need of a special air pump by storing a portion of the compressed air supplied from a blower into an air tank and using said compressed air for the reverse washing of a filter in a dust collector, in the constitution in which a portion of the exhaust gas is mixed with the intake air supplied into the blower of a supercharger through the dust collector. CONSTITUTION:The exhaust gas discharged from an internal combustion engine 1 is discharged into the atmosphere through the turbine 3 of an exhaust turbusupercharger 2, and a portion is mixed with the intake air which is supplied into a blower 4 through a dust collector 5 and a cooler 6, and then compressed by the blower 4, and supplied into the internal combustion engine 1 through a cooler 7. The filter in the dust collector 5 is reversely washed by blowing the compressed air from the downstream side of the filter at each prescribed time, and the dust piled on the filter is splashed to the downstream side and collected and burnt. In this case, a branched pipe 22 is branched from an air feeding pipe 21 on the downstream side of the blower 4, and a portion of the compressed air is taken out, and stored in an air tank 13, and the compressed air is used in the reverse washing of the filter.
