Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To heat an electrical warming device as a whole, which is flexible and equipped with a heating element, to a temperature for exterminating noxious insects thereon and also prevent faults in the heating element such as a breaking and a short circuit by winding the whole body of the electrical warming device into a coil in side view and by keeping it in that shape by means of a strap or the like in order not to allow it to unwind. CONSTITUTION:A device is wound into a coil in side view in a single direction as denoted by W and heated continuously for a specified time so as to raise the temperature in the interior on the right side of fabric to a point for exterminating noxious insects, for example, to 50 deg.C. The whole body of an electric carpet 1, wound in a coil in the direction W, is kept in shape by means of straps 5 in order not to allow it to unwind. To rid the carpet of the killed remains, first the floor 6 or the like, on which the electric carpet 1 was spread, is cleaned by a vacuum cleaner or the like and then the underside of the electric carpet 1 is cleaned by the vacuum cleaner as the carpet 1 is unrolled; the fabric on the right side of the carpet 1 is cleaned by the vacuum cleaner when the carpet 1 is restored to its previous position. The remains of killed noxious insects and the like can be eliminated easily in this manner.
