Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To slide more smoothly the construction of a ball thread part and reduce the production of trouble such as scuffing, etc., by forming a string thread part with string made from string-shaped lubricant on the thread part of a mechanical snubber. CONSTITUTION:When a vibration 11 is generated on the vibration-isolated side, a load is transmitted to a string thread 6 through a rod 5. The string thread 6 is constructed of string 3 made from lubricant such as string-shaped polyacetal resin, etc. In this state, the axial linear movement of the rod 5 is converted to the rotary movement of a shaft 7 through the string thread 6. The rotary movement of the shaft 7 is then guided by bearings 8 in the main body 4, the shaft can be rotated stably, and rotary movement of an inner wheel 9 is induced. Since the inner wheel 9 is provided with a large inertia moment relative to rotation, the rotary angular acceleration of the inner wheel 9 is large for the relatively high speed movement such as earthquake and the other vibrations and, therefore, vibration-proofing effect is given due to rotary inertia force effect.
