Piezoelectric actuator

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To enhance reliability and to accelerate operation by so securing a piezoelectric element by a frame as to compress the element. CONSTITUTION:A piezoelectric actuator is composed of a piezoelectric element 11, and a frame 13 having a neck 12. The neck 12 is collapsed to be plastically deformed in a direction of an arrow B. Thus, the piezoelectric element connecting face of the frame 13 is pressed out in a direction of an arrow C, and the element 11 is secured at both ends of its elongating and contracting directions (arrow D) inside the frame 13. As a result, the element 11 is received by compressive stress from the frame 13.
