System for tracing pipeline

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for converting trace information on a storage part even at the time of checking up a processing state in each stage of a pipeline with respect to one processing by setting the trace information written in the storage part to the processing state of each stage to one processing. CONSTITUTION:As soon as one processing finishes its final stage, the processing state of respective stages 20A-20D to its processing is stored in a storage part 200. Accordingly, processing states 220, 230, 240 and 250 of respective stages of one block 210 of trace information stored in the storage part 200 become those of the same processing and it is unnecessary to convert them. In such a manner, with regard to one processing, necessity for converting the information in the storage part 200 in order to know the processing state of respective stages 20A-20D of a pipeline 10 is eliminated.
