Video display device

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To contain a video display device in the inside of an armrest by providing a board freely turnably in the armrest of a chair on a vertical face, fitting a display support mechanism to the board, and fitting the display device of thin profile to the above support mechanism freely turnably in the horizontal direction. CONSTITUTION:An upper end of link rods 6, 7 is fitted to an upper part of a board 2 by using shafts 4, 5 as rotary axes, and lower ends of the link rods 6, 7 are linked by a link rod 8 to form a 4-joint link mechanism. The lower part of a display device 9 of thin profile such as a liquid crystal or a flat tube is fixed to the rod 8 by a vertical shaft 10 and the display device 9 is fitted turnably horizontally. Then a switch 18 is thrown manually to the position A, a start switch 19 is closed for a prescribed time, a motor 13 is energized and the turning of a worm gear 12 turns a 4-joint link. Then after a switch 16 is once closed, then opened by a prescribed angle by the cam 15 and stopped. Then the display device 9 of thin profile is turned horizontally at an angle viewed easily by a viewer for watching.
