Ink temperature adjusting method
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To eliminate the failure in the application of an ink for water-free lithographic printing to a pressplate by controlling the temperature of a plate cylinder to adjust the temperature of the ink on the pressplate mounted on the peripheral surface thereof. CONSTITUTION:The temperature of a lubricating oil flowing from a moistening device 17 toward a supply and discharge-type rotary joint 12 is detected by a thermometer 18. The temperature of an ink on a pressplate mounted on the peripheral surface of a plate cylinder 11 is detected by a non-contact thermometer 19. The detection signals obtained from the thermometers 18, 19 are transmitted to a controller. A control signal obtained by the controller is transmitted to an oil cooler 16 and the moistening device 17 to control the oil cooler 16 and the moistening device 17, whereby the temperature of the lubricating oil from an oil pan 13 to the supply and discharge-type rotary joint 12 through the moistening device 17 is maintained at a predetermined value. The lubricating oil reaching the supply and discharge-type oil joint 12 is led to a lubricating oil chamber 11b in the plate cylinder 11 through a lubricating oil supply tube 11a. The temperature of the ink on the pressplate mounted on the peripheral surface of the plate cylinder 11 is adjusted. The lubricating oil in the lubricating oil chamber 11b is discharged to the oil pan 13 through a lubricating oil discharge tube 11c and again led to the moistening device 17. In this manner, the unsatisfactory application of the ink to the pressplate and the occurrence of scumming can be prevented.
